What Our Clients Say

In Their Own Words

DK

David Kowalski

Pattaya, Chonburi

"I brought in a Zenith El Primero I'd had for twenty years. Krit took the time to explain exactly what he found inside before any work started. The written summary alone was worth the inspection fee — I hadn't understood the movement's condition before. It now runs better than I've ever known it."

"A vintage Seiko King Seiko I inherited from my father needed a full restoration. I was nervous about trusting it to anyone — it has real sentimental value. The process took around eight weeks but the communication throughout was calm and regular. The documentation I received back with the watch is something I'll keep with it permanently."

"Had an Inspection & Care done on two pieces I'd recently acquired at auction. Both came back with thorough condition reports — one needed no work at all, the other had a worn mainspring that needed attention. Exactly what you'd want from an honest workshop."

"I've had watches serviced in Bangkok, Singapore, and Geneva. Inthira Horology is not a large operation, but the quality of attention is the same as the better workshops I've used in Europe. The pricing is fair for this level of care, and the Pattaya location means I don't need to make a trip to Bangkok for decent service anymore."

"My late husband's Omega Constellation had not run for years. I wasn't sure whether a full restoration was worth the cost for a watch that might not be worth a great deal on paper. Krit was honest about the watch's market value and what the restoration would cost, and left the decision entirely to me. I'm glad I went ahead — it keeps good time and I wear it often."

"Brought in a dress watch that was gaining nearly four minutes a day. The work took three weeks and came back running at plus two seconds. I appreciated that they told me not to expect perfection — the movement is older — but the improvement is substantial. Clear communication throughout, no unpleasant surprises on the bill."

Detailed Stories

Selected Case Studies

The Challenge

1968 Longines Flagship — Unworn for Eleven Years

The watch had been stored in a drawer since 2013. When brought in it would not wind, the crown was stiff, and the crystal was crazed. The owner wanted to wear it daily and was concerned about over-polishing the case.

What We Did

A full movement service was carried out: disassembly, ultrasonic cleaning, replacement of the mainspring and several worn keyless-work components sourced from old stock. The crown was rebushed. The crystal was replaced with period-appropriate plexi. Case polishing was discussed — the owner opted for cleaning only, preserving original brushing.

Duration: six weeks, including two weeks for parts sourcing.

The Outcome

Running at +4 seconds per day in five positions. Crown winds smoothly, date-setting confirmed. Case retains original finish with patina intact. Full restoration record provided.

"It's the watch my father gave me. It needed to be right, not just running. They understood that."

The Challenge

Vacheron Constantin — Unknown Service History

A Vacheron Constantin dress watch acquired at a Bangkok auction. The previous service history was entirely undocumented. The buyer wanted a clear picture of condition before wearing it.

What We Did

An Inspection & Care service established the baseline. Under magnification, the movement showed evidence of a relatively recent service — probably five to seven years prior — but the lubricants in the keyless work were beginning to dry. The rate was measuring at +8 seconds per day.

We recommended rate adjustment and fresh lubrication in the escapement. The owner agreed. Duration: four working days total.

The Outcome

Rate corrected to +1.5 seconds per day. Written report provided confirming the movement's general health and recommended next service window of four to five years.

"The inspection report was exactly what I needed. Wore it the day I got it back."
